Roots and Branches

This library is the engine room of my practice. It is where I store the research that allows me to provide the analytical rigour of corporate finance to the social economy.

My work is based on a simple taxonomy:

  • The Roots: These are foundational theories, largely focused on Proudhonian sociology. I recover these texts to identify the core principles – such as 'collective force' – that are required to resist market enclosures.
  • The Branches: These are the modern applications, from Italian Cooperative Law to sustainable investment frameworks, where that foundational theory meets current practice.

The Library Structure

I categorise the archive by Card Type to signal how each document should be used:

  • Translations: Full structural recoveries of non-English texts, prioritising technical precision over stylistic 'flow'.
  • Methodologies: Framing texts that define the scope and ethics of my practice (e.g., Glossaries, Translation Manifesto).
  • Analyses: Original research synthesising financial data with social theory.
  • Reviews: Critical examinations of contemporary books and frameworks.
  • Guides: Navigational tools to orient you within this specific library (e.g., this Welcome card).

The Deep Archive

Beyond this grid lies the Deep Archive, a bibliographic roadmap of over 30 analyses currently in production. This space represents the 'Roots' I am presently dismantling to inform future drops. Following the January 8th relaunch, new texts will move from the Deep Archive into this live grid on a rolling basis.
